We are delighted to welcome guests of the region and the University, participants of the Second Philosophy Olympiad for students! Over the next three days, we anticipate an exciting and intellectually stimulating competition that will not only determine the winners but also provide an opportunity to deepen your understanding of philosophy, guided by the esteemed experts gathered here at IKBFU. This event is truly unique for our country. Despite the challenges posed by geopolitical complexities, we are thrilled to have foreign participants join us. This year, the event has attracted heightened attention and participation, with an expanded geographical representation both from across Russia and abroad. Of course, quantity was not our primary goal, the widespread interest from students of leading universities worldwide speaks to the value of our intellectual initiative. |
The participants already visited the Baltic Sea coast in Svetlogorsk, saw the sights of Kaliningrad and participated in an intellectual quiz.
Nadezhda Valeeva, IPOS-2024 participant, Tyumen State University: |
It was my first time in Kaliningrad and on the Baltic coast. I was greatly impressed by the tour. Beautiful streets, architecture, historical buildings so harmoniously combined with modern ones. I am overjoyed to be taking part in the Olympiad. I major in Media Studies and Philosophy of Technology, so I decided to try my luck and participate in the first stage. I did not expect to get through to the second step, because in my work I emphasised my personal research interest. I also prepared a presentation on the philosophy of technology for the final. |
