On 10 December, a delegation from the Ministry of Education and Science, led by Airat Gatiyatov, Deputy Minister, visited Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University. The status and prospects of the key infrastructure projects in the university were discussed. The most important is the construction of the "Kantiana" neo-campus.
Alexander Fedorov, IKBFU rector: |
I suppose this is a systemic and meaningful track for both Baltic Federal University and the whole region the next few years. This year we have completed the design and estimate work and received the conclusion of Glavgosexpertiza. A governmental decree was issued, and the facility has been assigned to the United Construction Contractor. The construction site building is coming to an end and the excavation work starts by the end of December. Such positive dynamics is possible thanks to the support and personal involvement of the leadership of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Minister of Higher Education and Science, and the Governor of the Kaliningrad Region. |
The rector told Moscow colleagues about other projects completed in recent months: the rare book room in the university library, the scriptorium at the Institute of Education and Humanities, the military training center, and the modernized simulation center for medical students, doctors and nurses of the region.
