The IKBFU Centre for Cross-cultural Communication with the Asia-Pacific Countries celebrates four years since its launch. The Centre has become an important platform for cultural and educational exchange, uniting students studying Chinese and Russian, and hosting dozens of events, from language workshops to summer and winter schools.
The Centre's team actively promotes dialogue between Russia and Asia-Pacific countries, offering students unique opportunities for language immersion and intercultural interaction. Festivals, expert classes, language clubs and collaborative projects with foreign partners are designed to help participants not only improve their language skills, but also find common ground in the variety of traditions.

Daria Gerber, Director of the International Office: |
Four years is not just a timeframe, but a journey filled with exciting events, fruitful cooperation and, ultimately, friendship. During this time we have held several dozens of events that brought together more than 400 participants — students, educators, representatives of Chinese partner universities and the Chinese Embassy in Russia. Each meeting, each event, each joint project strengthened the bridges of mutual understanding between our cultures, between Russia and China. I sincerely thank everyone who has contributed to the development of the Centre: our team, professors, students, partners from China and, of course, my University colleagues. Without your initiative and energy, support, enthusiasm and faith in our common cause, we would not have achieved such success. Special thanks to our Chinese students. Your participation, sincerity and willingness to communicate make the Centre's work truly meaningful. |
Maria Litvinyuk, Head of the Centre for Cross-cultural Communication with the Asia-Pacific Countries: |
Our centre is a space where cultures unite and language becomes the key to mutual understanding. Today we are not only celebrating, but looking forward to the future. There are new initiatives ahead, more students from China and more students from Russia studying Chinese, a larger network of partners and, of course, even more opportunities for intercultural exchange. I am sure that together we will be able to realize even the most ambitious ideas! |
