The tower of the Higher School of Philosophy, History and Social Sciences on the Kantiana campus is currently being fitted with clocks — each featuring three‑metre dials facing north, south, east, and west. Architectural lighting will ensure the time is readable in all conditions. Installation is on track for completion by the end of summer 2026.
A spire was installed on the building in the spring of 2026. The clock tower — which stands 60 metres tall — is now visible to residents and visitors from afar. Once the clocks are in place, the tower will become a key architectural feature, complementing the building's striking silhouette and creating a recognisable image for the new campus.
Finishing works are currently underway in the building, including the installation of windows and exterior cladding, as well as the fitting out of internal engineering systems. Construction of the facility is scheduled for completion by the end of 2026.
The Higher School of Philosophy, History and Social Sciences — with a floor area of over 16,000 square metres — will accommodate around 1,200 students. The building will house lecture theatres, computer labs, classrooms for group work, a library with reading rooms, and much more.
The project is part of a nationwide initiative led by the Government of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Education and Science, following instructions from President Vladimir Putin. Under the national project "Youth and Children," 40 modern campuses are to be built across Russia by 2036.
