Konstantin Mogilevsky, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia |
Today is a remarkable and special day; not only for Kaliningrad or Russia, but for the whole world. The Kaliningrad Region has united hundreds of scholars from 23 countries; all of them dedicated to studying Kant’s legacy. We all witness that today Kant’s heritage is safe in Russia; and we are grateful for it. It is not being cancelled, distorted or altered. We have all conditions necessary for Kant’s legacy to be studied and appreciated here. |
“Now, 20 years later, we again see proof of the fact that Kant became a global philosopher, an intellectual authority to whom we refer while asking the fundamental questions of life, human, personal and social. Therefore, I posit: “Kant’s philosophy is a mark of history,” |
added the scholar. |
Professor Stolzenberg expressed his gratitude to the management of IKBFU, the Academia Kantiana and students of the University for the warm welcome given to the participants of the Congress.
After the ceremony, Manfred Baum, Professor of Philosophy at the University of Wuppertal (Germany), gave the evening presentation in the Cathedral. Following the speech, an organ music concert was held.
