Early Flowering at the Botanical Garden

January 28, 2025, saw record warmth in Kaliningrad. During the day, the temperature reached 13 degrees Celsius. Windless and mild April-like weather has dramatically transformed the IKBFU Botanical Garden.

The snowdrops have been sprouting for a couple of weeks now, but they only bloomed today! Winter aconite now dots the sunny lawns. The вaphne bloomed a month and a half early. Rhododendron ledebourii bloomed last spring and then suddenly flowered in autumn, but no one expected it to blossom this winter!

Kaliningrad citizens and guests of the city are welcome to visit the Botanical Garden. The ticket office is open from 10:00 to 16:00, the Garden is available for visitors every day of the week from 10:00 to 17:00.
