Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University presented its educational programmes at a mobile exhibition in Xi'an on 12–13 June — part of the reciprocal Russia–China Years of Culture and Education.
The events were hosted by Xi'an University of Finance and Economics. The Russian delegation was welcomed by Zheng Li, Head of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office; Zhang Liang, Deputy Head of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office of the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education; and Zhao Minquan, Vice‑Chancellor of Xi'an University of Finance and Economics. Tatyana Urzhumtseva — Director of the Russian Cultural Centre in Beijing — also addressed the audience. Speakers emphasised the importance of strengthening Russian‑Chinese educational cooperation and the significance of the exhibition.
Fifteen Russian universities — including IKBFU — presented their study programmes to Chinese pupils. Following the official opening, an exhibition allowed pupils and students to speak with university representatives directly, learning in detail about the educational programmes on offer, study conditions for international students and opportunities for Chinese students to study in Russia.
