First participantsp have arrived to Kaliningrad for the International Olympiad in Philosophy. IKBFU volunteers welcomed the first contestants from Iran — Zahra Abdi (Tehran University), Ali Hassanzade Dizaj (Tabriz University) and from India — Prachi Poplay (Punjab University) at the airport.
The contestants have already had a chance to tour the city and meet the volunteers and organisers of the event. On 25 November, the Russian participants will arrive in Kaliningrad. All contestants will have the opportunity to visit Baltic coast of Svetlogorsk or go sightseeing Kaliningrad and have an intellectual quiz for the participants.
The opening of the Second International Philosophy Olympiad for Students will take place on November 26. Nina A. Dmitrieva, professor at the Moscow State Pedagogical University, Research Director of the Academia Kantiana, will give a lecture entitled “What Is Enlightenment? Kant’s Answer Interpreted by Russian Philosophers.”
