The initial results of the admission campaign are encouraging, showing a higher level of competition for state-funded places and improved average exam scores compared to last year. Nearly half of our full-time students come from other regions of Russia or other countries. |
41% of new students came from outside the region, with 626 people coming from other regions and 30 being international students from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Latvia, Chile and Turkey.
The preliminary results of the admission campaign show the highest competition was among applicants of Advertising and Public Relations, International Relations, Business Informatics, World Economy, Political Science, Artificial Intelligence and Data Analysis educational programmes.
Maxim Demin, IKBFU Acting Rector: |
Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University consistently shows positive trends in admissions. This year, our applicants include those who scored 100 on their exams, winners of All-Russian Olympiads, applicants from different regions and countries, and even European champions. Amidst the tough competition for high scorers among Russian universities, this year we saw a significant increase in average exam scores for students applying for physics and technology programmes. |
