IKBFU Advances in Seven Subject Areas in a Year

The Expert analytical centre has released its subject ranking of the scientific productivity of 143 Russian universities in 24 subject areas.

According to the rankings, over the year IKBFU has improved its position in the following categories:

Pharmacology, Toxicology and Pharmaceutics — 10–11 (2024 — 29–31);
Arts and Humanities — 11 (2024 — 17);
Biochemistry, Genetics and Molecular Biology — 18–20 (2024 — 23–25);
Social Sciences — 20–22 (2024 — 22–23);
Life Sciences — 21 (2024 — 21–23);
Environmental Sciences — 21–22 (2024 — 22–25);
Artificial Intelligence — 33–36 (2024 — 38–43).

In addition, the University was also highlighted in the subject areas:

Agricultural and Biological Sciences — 17–18;
Economics, Econometrics and Finance — 24;
Earth and Planetary Sciences — 35–37.

Our improvement is not a matter of sudden luck, but the result of the systematic, consistent and persistent efforts of our colleagues. The importance of quantitative criteria, such as the total number of publications, is equal to that of qualitative ones, namely the creation of a pool of highly relevant and, through this, highly cited research. Another important factor is the strong cooperative ties between industry and the academic community, ensuring targeted requests for practice-oriented research that stimulate the development of new technologies. I am convinced that, in the context of the University's general advancement, our standing in this and other rankings will only improve.
