December 17, the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam in the context of the exhibition “Russian universities — the best choice” received a delegation of Russian universities for a working meeting. IKBFU was represented by Ekaterina Shilova, the Deputy Director of the Department of New Recruitment.
From the Ministry of Education and Training of Personnel of Vietnam, the meeting was opened by the Deputy Head of the International Cooperation Office — Nguen Thi Thanh Minh, and the Head of the International Education Department — Nguyen Thi Ngoc Lien.
The Director of the Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Hanoi, Vladimir Murashkin, thanked the Vietnamese colleagues for receiving the delegation and noted the support of the Ministry, thanks to which joint initiatives are developing steadily and systematically. Ms Min stressed that such meetings help to strengthen existing projects and create new links between institutions of Vietnam and Russian universities.
Colleagues on the Vietnamese side noted particular interest in training of personnel to teach Russian as a foreign language. Special attention was given to additional professional education, summer and winter school formats, as well as programs for young lecturers and scientists up to 35 years of age.
At the end of the meeting, Ms Min noted — support for Russian educational programs in Vietnam continues, and the parties are committed to developing cooperation and practical initiatives.
In addition, the expert session “Modern trends in Russian education” took place at the site of the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Hanoi within the framework of the Decade of Science and Technology of Russia and educational exhibition “Universities of Russia — the best choice” on December 17.

Representatives of Russian universities spoke about trends in the development of transport education (Federal state autonomous educational institution of higher education "Russian university of transport"); about innovative socio-humanitarian technologies of youth scientific and educational cooperation (Nizhny Novgorod Dobrolyubov State Linguistic University); new trends in training of personnel for technological breakthrough (Plekhanov Russian University of Economics); training of personnel for the nuclear field in partner countries (National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University).
Vietnamese colleagues, including a representative of the leadership of the Committee of Culture, Education, Youth, Adolescents and Children of the National Assembly of CRV XIV convocation, The All-Greek Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature , Department of International Cooperation CSU(Khakassian State University), as well as representatives of the University of Transport Technologies and Communications, Hanoi University of Business and Technology, University of Technology and Management “Friendship”, Foreign Languages University CSU(Khakassian State University), Hanoi University, Women’s Academy and Hanoi Law University participated in discussions on current issues related to the development of scientific and educational cooperation.
Reports of the Russian side, detailed explanations in answers on numerous questions, exchange of views and live contacts on the site of the Russian House contributed to the establishment of new professional relationships.
