On 9 June 2026, the Russian Cultural Centre in Beijing hosted ‘Russian Universities Day’ — the start of a travelling exhibition across five Chinese cities. The event attracted prospective students and local educational representatives, offering photo zones, masterclasses, and an immersive look at Russian education. During the business session, Tatyana Urzhumtseva (Director of the Russian Cultural Centre) and Igor Pozdnyakov (Counsellor at the Russian Embassy) addressed the audience. Presentations from 15 leading Russian universities — including IKBFU, Moscow State Pedagogical University, MIREA, RUDN, HSE, Ural Federal University, and Sechenov University — showcased study opportunities in Russia.
| Ekaterina Shilova, Deputy Director of the Admissions Department: |
| It was encouraging to see Chinese schoolchildren, parents, and educational representatives at the Russian Cultural Centre — clear evidence of genuine interest in Russian culture and study opportunities in Russia. It is especially gratifying that parents are enrolling their children in Russian language courses from an early age. Such events are essential for building ties between Russian educators and the Chinese audience — they create a unique bridge between our cultures. We are sincerely grateful to the Russian Cultural Centre for the excellent organisation and for its invaluable mission of promoting Russian culture and education in China. |
