IKBFU Ranked 21st in Russia According to THE WUR

IKBFU was ranked 1201-1500 in the world and 21st in Russia in the 2025 edition of the Times Higher Education World University Ranking (THE WUR).

The ranking includes 2092 universities from more than 115 countries and 81 universities from Russia.

The performance indicators of THE WUR are grouped into five areas:

1. Teaching (the learning environment) — 29,5%
2. Research environment (volume, income and reputation) — 29%
3. Research quality — 30%
4. International outlook (staff, students and research) — 7,5%
5. Industry (knowledge transfer) — 4%

	Despite growing competition, Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University not only strengthened its position in the world rankings, but also improved its overall ranking score. The university performed best in teaching (422nd in the world), international outlook (605th in the world) and research environment (774th in the world).
