Olga Kim, IKBFU Vice-rector for International Education and Youth Policy: |
The partnership between Russia and China in the field of education is founded on shared academic values, a profound mutual understanding, and genuine respect for one another. The International Teacher Education Forum provides an exceptional platform for our experts to share their experience and learn from their international colleagues. This is highly beneficial for our aspiring teachers' professional growth. |
IKBFU faculty presented their scientific reports. Olesya Parakhina, Deputy Head of Development and Project Activities of the Institute of Education and Humanities, discussed innovative methods for educating future teachers in a multifunctional educational University. Marina Khramova, Director of the Higher School of Education and Psychology, Senior Researcher at the Baltic Neurotechnology and Artificial Intelligence Research Centre, captured the attention of NWNU colleagues with her presentation «Transformation of Pedagogical Education at the IKBFU in the Age of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data''.
As part of the visit, the IKBFU delegation met with the leadership of Northwest Normal University: Rector Wang Zhangren and Vice-Rector Li Wensheng. The parties reached mutual agreements on strengthening academic mobility and holding joint grant competitions, as well as outlined steps to establish a joint educational programme.
During the visit, IKBFU representatives also visited students undergoing language training at NWNU, who shared their stories about their studies and life in Lanzhou. In addition, the professors attended a Russian language competition, where students recited poetry by Pushkin, Akhmatova, and Tsvetaeva, sang songs, and performed voice-overs of Russian-language cartoons.
The cooperation agreement between IKBFU and NWNU was signed in 2021. As part of this agreement, eight students from Baltic Federal University completed language internships in 2023, and four more will begin their studies in the spring of this academic year, while two NWNU students are currently undergoing an internship in Russian language and translation studies.
