The visit proved to be extremely beneficial. While there is widespread discussion about Russian-Iranian collaboration in the media, it is crucial to take tangible steps, no matter how small, for this partnership to flourish. Connections between scientists as well as scientific and educational institutions are instrumental in this endeavour. Iran is a fascinating and prosperous country with a great potential for long-term scientific cooperation. The presentations delivered by the Russian representatives, including our own, attracted a lot of interest from Iranian colleagues, who expressed a desire to further develop the partnership. Iranian students are also drawn to Russian universities. This is just the beginning of comprehensive cooperation, and I am glad that our University has contributed to its development. |
