In October, IKBFU representatives first visited Yantai University, China. Denis Voronin, Director of the Higher School of Sports at IKBFU, Daria Gerber, Director of the International Office, and Maria Litvinyuk, Director of the Centre for Intercultural Communication with Asia-Pacific Countries, held talks with the leadership of Yantai University and toured the premises.
Yantai University is one of the leading universities in Shandong Province. Founded in 1984, Yantai University was co-established by Tsinghua University and Peking University. Currently, the university has 30,000 students, 2,000 faculty members (including Chinese and foreign academics), 3 campuses with a total area of 2.2 million sqm, 23 Higher Schools with 66 fields of study and a 5000 sqm business startup park.
The signed memorandum implies the possibility of international academic exchange of students and faculty, scientific internships, joint scientific research, as well as joint educational and research projects.

| During the visit to Yantai University, we identified priority areas for cooperation. There are many suggestions and ideas: I am sure that some of them will be implemented in the near future. For example, at the meeting between the heads of the two universities' sports faculties, we signed an agreement on student exchanges that will take place next term. |
