The 2025 autumn semester at the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University was another proof of successful development of academic and cultural dialogue with China. The University has not only continued to strengthen partnerships, but has also reached new critical milestones in exchange education programmes.
This semester IKBFU received 9 students from the leading Chinese partner universities: Northwest Normal University (NNU), Ocean University of China and Huaihua University. For the first time there was an academic exchange of students in the field of “Physical culture and sports”. As part of exchange, student from China, Wang Zhong-Yang, has arrived at IKBFU.
For the Chinese guests, a semester in Kaliningrad is not only an in-depth study of the Russian language and professional disciplines, but also a full immersion into Russian culture, history and daily life in the most western region of Russia.

Academic mobility is always a two-way process. While Chinese students were discovering Russia for themselves, IKBFU students received unique academic experience in China’s universities.

The program introduced you to the techniques and practices that are relevant in China, and language learning became an integral part of successful adaptation and academic process. The university campus made a strong impression with it’s level of equipment and well-thought organization of the space, which formed a very positive impression of the whole period of stay. |
The autumn semester of 2025 has once again proved that academic mobility between IKBFU and the Chinese partner universities are an effective tool not only for gaining knowledge, but also for building lasting bridges of friendship and mutual understanding between our countries. The University is looking forward to new students from China and ready to provide IKBFU students with even more opportunities to conquer academic and cultural peaks in the Celestial Empire.
