IKBFU Student Places in Top 20 of Miss Tourism World China

Polina Pervykh, a fourth-year journalism student, ranked in the top 20 of the Miss Tourism World — CHINA international beauty held in December. A total of 62 candidates for the Miss Tourism title spent 12 days in Guangzhou.

Polina is highly talented — she knows several languages, does sports, and runs her own blog. At the contest, the student represented Russia in the image of a Snow Maiden.

The pageant was just wonderful! At first it was a bit challenging— all the contestants spoke different languages. But eventually we managed to connect with each other. I shared a room with a girl from Australia, we became quick friends, and promised to visit each other. I was very honoured to represent my country, to share my culture and traditions through my looks! The judges considered not only the beauty of the contestants, but also their attitude, manners, and intellect. It was an important and fascinating experience. Now I plan to take part in the Miss Russia pageant and then Miss Universe.
