The summer school starts in 14 universities across Russia. And 45 students from Belarus and Uzbekistan have arrived to Kaliningrad to undergo a two-week long training under the new IKBFU program “Microbiology and biotechnology”. Professors, businessmen and scientists will deliver interactive lections on how to apply new biotechnologies both in terms of research and commerce.
Alexander Fedorov, IKBFU Rector:
“Biology gives us a glimpse into the future and professionals in this sphere will define how the world will look like in the next decades. Our university gives students an opportunity to master this program of the future today. Our guests who chose to spend their vacation studying at the International Summer University will learn the basics of biotech processes and we hope that his knowledge will help them in their future career choices.”
This year 670 students from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan Uzbekistan, Tadzhikistan, Armenia, Syria, DPR and LPR will learn new skills, make new friends while travelling all over Russia. The project is carried out by the RF Ministry of Higher Education and by Pskov State University.
