A food festival “KANTeen” (Russian: «ПиКАНТно») starts on September 22 on the territory of the Cathedral. The main goal of the event is to show cooking traditions of the eight Russian federal districts. On the territory of Kant Island there will be eight pavilions decorated in the style of the federal districts, exhibiting their traditional dishes. Guests will also have an opportunity to take part in games, quizzes and quests as well as to enjoy a variety of educational and culinary workshops. IKBFU students may try the dishes free of charge if they successfully cope with creative tasks from the festival organizers.
On the menu: Far Eastern fern salad with seaweed and fried onions, Siberian fried dumplings, kulebyaka from Yekaterinburg, perepechi from Udmurtia, Kuban borsch and cheesniki, Kostroma shchi, Cossack solyanka, Karelian pirozhki, Kaliningrad klops and stroganina, Crimean chebureks and rose petal jam, and much more.
