Marat Husnullin: "A Spire was Installed on the Clock Tower of the Campus in Kaliningrad"

On the building with a clock tower, which is being built on the basis of the campus "Kantiana" of the IKBFU, was installed a spire. This was reported by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin.

The active development of a network of world-class campuses on behalf of the President of Russia attests to serious attention to modernization of educational infrastructure. New student campuses are designed to provide quality education, create comfortable conditions for education and scientific activities. Such a project is also being carried out in Kaliningrad. Despite the current difficulties, the construction readiness of "Kantiana" campus with an area of over 109 thousand square meters exceed 80% at the present time. The construction of the central building of the entire educational complex is ongoing — the building of the Higher School of Philosophy and Social Sciences, on which specialists completed the installation of the spire. Now the clock tower, which together with the spire is 60 meters high, can be seen by residents and visitors of the city from afar. In the spring of 2026, a unique clock with a diameter of 3 meters will be installed on the tower of the institute, which will focus on all four sides of the world. They will have several types of highlights, each of which can be controlled independently, and the arrow’s highlight will be monochrome.

Currently, in the building of the Higher School of Philosophy and Social Sciences, work is being carried out on exterior decoration of facades, installation of translucent structures, interior decoration of rooms. The installation of roofing and engineering systems is also being carried out. In addition, the construction of the "Biomed" buildings, the Institute of High Technology and the conference complex continues on the campus. It is planned to complete all construction and installation work on the objects before the end of 2026,

In the building of the Higher School of Philosophy and Social Sciences with an area of more than 12 thousand square meters, over 1,000 students will be taught. The building will house lecture halls, language booths, computer classes, a group study hall, a library with reading rooms, a laboratory, a media centre and much more.

The construction of a "city for a city" — the new university campus "Intellectual Space of the Future —"Kantiana" campus in Kaliningrad began in December 2022.
