Start-uppers of “Baltic Biotechr” company have received a patent and registered a know-how growth supplement based on donated blood components. Research is carried out on the basis of the IKBFU Center of Immunology and Cellular Biotechnologies with the support of the Priority 2030 program.
As Valeria Shupletsova, CEO of LLC “Baltic Biotechr”, notes, the presence of a wide range of growth factors in the supplement makes it possible to obtain cell cultures with a preserved phenotype and high viability faster.
| Andrey Goncharov, senior researcher at the Center for Immunology and Cellular Biotechnologies, said about the technology: |
| "The growth suplement obtained using proprietary technology goes through at least two stages of standardization. All stages of technological production are conducted in accordance with patented, proven technical regulations. However, during transportation and long-term storage, in order to preserve the qualities of the drug obtained by us, it is necessary to strictly adhere to the temperature regime. Therefore, in order to further promote the cultural supplement we developed to the biomedical market, it was necessary to optimize the shape of the product. Freeze-drying seemed to be the best option." |
