IKBFU researchers have prepared a unique three-volume edition of new translations of Immanuel Kant's writings to coincide with the 300th anniversary of the philosopher and the International Kant Congress. Among those are two essays not translated into Russian before.
Nina Dmitrieva, Head of the IKBFU Academia Kantiana; Executive Editor of the New Edition |
I am certain that new, revised translations of the works already known to Russian-speaking readers will contribute to a more authentic understanding of Kantian thought. |
The set features extensive forewords and annotations by leading Russian experts on Kant — Alexei Kruglov, Alexei Zhavoronkov, Andrei Sudakov, Vadim Chaly and others. The work reflects the newest developments in the global study of Kant.
The volumes will be available in Russia's main libraries, as well as in bookstores. The digital copy will be available at the IKBFU Library website.
The project started in 2021 and continued until spring 2024. The release coincides with the International Kant Congress, which will take place between 22-25 of April in Kaliningrad. Esteemed academics will gather to discuss the philosopher's legacy and the influence of his ideas on the progress of science and modern society.
