On 10 January, Balwant Singh, Director of the Partap College of Education, India, discussed matters of cooperation between the institutions with the IKBFU Acting Rector Maxim Demin. In February 2024, the IKBFU Representative Office was established on the basis of the College in the format of the Centre of Russian Pedagogy.
The event was attended by Daria Gerber, Director of the International Office, and Anna Budarina, Head of the Institute of Education and the Humanities. The parties discussed opportunities for academic mobility of students and faculty, the creation of joint high-ranking publications, research and educational projects. Balwant Singh noted the importance of this kind of cooperation and expressed gratitude for the ongoing development of the IKBFU Centre for Russian Pedagogy in India, which serves as a platform for sharing knowledge and experience in the field of education. One of the key proposals voiced during the meeting was the creation of a joint bilingual scientific journal demonstrating the achievements of collaboration between the academic communities of Russia and India.
Maxim Demin, IKBFU Acting Rector: |
Cooperation with Indian higher education institutions is particularly important for us. Firstly, most international students at IKBFU come from India. Secondly, since the flow of Indian students to our University began back in 2017, we were able to make sure that Indian students are among the most talented. According to the statistics of the last two years, the students of our University successfully pass the internal examinations in India. I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to the Indian side for the support and warm welcome of our students and faculty within the framework of academic mobility programmes. |
Balwant Singh, Director of the Partap College of Education: |
We are planning to increase the number of students who will visit Russia in future. Our students are enthusiastic and excited about this opportunity. The Centre for Russian Pedagogy at IKBFU is an excellent base for new projects, as it gives access to information materials, electronic resources, and scientific literature. We are also very grateful for holding Russian language courses at the Representative Office for students and educators of Partap College. I myself gladly took part in the classes and realised the Russian language is quite difficult, but remarkably beautiful. In addition, we are preparing for a joint international conference with IKBFU. We are happy to participate in the organisation of this event and look forward to working with many international researchers. We consider ourselves junior partners of your university and appreciate the opportunity to work together. |
At the end of the meeting, Balwant Singh invited Maxim Demin to visit India and participate in the graduation ceremony of the Partap College of Education, emphasising the commitment to strengthening mutual ties and further developing the partnership between the two educational institutions.
