Konstantin Glinov, PhD student of “Organic Chemistry”, visited the Samarkand State Medical University as part of a short-term academic mobility program. During the visit, Konstantin participated in an international scientific and practical symposium “Medical Chemistry and Biomedical Materials Science”, round table discussion on the topic “Biophysical Endoscope in the Biochemical Labyrinth of Civilization Diseases”, and also gave an open lecture on pharmacy on the basis of Representative Office of IKBFU.

| From a methodological point of view, the lecture afforded me the chance to show colleagues from Uzbekistan real pedagogical techniques we use in IKBFU, discuss their effectiveness and hear valuable feedback from senior and more experienced lecturers. I also had a personal goal — to spark student’s interest, show them what the pharmaceuticals is and help them see the worth of learning. I led listeners through the entire path of development of a drug: from the first scientific idea, the complexity of developing it, to bringing it to market. The reaction of the audience was enthusiastic, which can not but delight me as a junior lecturer. I sincerely hope this lecture for the students was a moment of awareness of their professional path — a powerful impulse to growth, search and future scientific achievements. The lecture also aroused lively interest among lecturers and researchers; many expressed their willingness to further cooperation in the field of pharmaceuticals. |
It should be recalled that the Representation Office of IKBFU in Samarkand was opened in May 2022. Several times a year, it hosts public lectures of leading IKBFU researchers in the field of medicine, chemistry and biology.
