Rector Maxim Demin held a meeting with the students of IKBFU. The big discussion, which lasted more than two hours, brought together almost a hundred students of Kantiana — leaders of student communities, mayors and activists.
At the beginning of the meeting Rector shared the changes that occurred at the university following a previous meeting with students in December 2024. Among them: transfer of the Heads of educational programs to the basic rate; calculation of the budget for the renovation of a sports hall in the building on Chernyshevskogo 56 and dormitories № 1 and 2 — facilities are planned for 2026; creation of new Wi-Fi access points; opening of two mother and child rooms as part of the project “Help mom to learn” in Multifunctional Center on Nevskogo 14 and in the building on the Chernyshevskogo 56.
Maxim Demin noted that one of the most important issues remains student co-management and its structure. The Rector invited students to discuss his concept and noted the need for regular meetings with representatives of the student council to work out a joint solution.
Maxim Demin noted the participation of the university in the pilot project on reform of higher education and construction of the campus “Kantiana” within the framework of the national project “Youth and children”.
