Tatyana Tsvigun, Advisor to the Rectorate for Russian Language and Development of Humanitarian Education: |
Each year on June 6, we come together to celebrate the richness of the Russian language, which finds some of its deepest expression in poetry. Poetry is the language of feeling and experience — it demands more than knowledge, it calls for voice and emotion. For many years now, June has brought us this unique and wonderful celebration. |
In honor of the 80th anniversary of Victory, many students chose to recite poems from the wartime era. An expert jury evaluated the performances, and the most expressive readers were awarded commemorative gifts and books by Russian-speaking authors.
