On March 18, the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University held a preventive session for foreign students, organized by the International Office and the Coordination Center for the formation of an active civic position among young people, the prevention of interethnic and interfaith conflicts, and the counteraction of the ideology of terrorism and the prevention of extremism. The meeting focused on the fundamentals of the criminal legislation of the Russian Federation and the rules of safe behavior in the information space.
Mikhail Bolvachev, a specialist from the Coordination Center for Information Support, acted as the lecturer. During the meeting, he provided detailed information about the most pressing threats to public safety. The speaker used specific examples to explain the key differences between administrative offenses and criminal crimes to the students, emphasizing the legal consequences of various actions.
Additionally, the topic of digital hygiene was an important part of the discussion. Mikhail Bolvachev provided the students with practical recommendations to ensure their safety in the digital world and prevent them from falling under the influence of destructive ideologies. These meetings help students from other countries better understand the legal norms of their host country and avoid potential risks.
| Mikhail Bolvachev: |
| Understanding the legal framework of the host country is essential for a safe and comfortable learning experience. Our goal is not only to introduce students to the dry provisions of the law, but also to explain how to handle information and avoid falling under the influence of destructive ideologies in today's digital world. |
