Head of the Asia-Pacific Region Center of IKBFU, Maria Litvinyuk, participated in the scientific and educational forum “Russia-Vietnam: 75 Years of Cooperation”. The event gave a start to the cross-year of scientific and educational cooperation between Russia and Vietnam in 2026, announced by the leaders of the two countries.
The forum was held in Moscow on the site of the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics and became a key platform for taking stock and defining the prospects of multi-year partnership between the two countries. On the Russian side, the organizers were the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Federal State Budget Institution “Inter-Education” and the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics. The Vietnamese side was represented by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Education and Training, the Vietnam Academy of Sciences and Technologies and the Embassy of Vietnam in Russia.
The opening ceremony of the forum was held by highest authorities from both countries. Welcome remarks were made by Co-Chairman of the intergovernmental Russian-Vietnamese commission, Deputy Chairman of the Government of Russia Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Chan Hong Ha; First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Andrey Yatskin; Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Konstantin Mogilevsky; Permanent Vice-President of the Vietnam Academy of Sciences and Technologies Chan Hong Thai; Rector of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics Ivan Lobanov.
In his speech, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko noted significant achievements in the humanitarian sphere and training of personnel.

The series of cooperation activities with Vietnam opens up new opportunities for the university to develop academic mobility, joint research projects and expand the IKBFU partner network in South-East Asia. |
As part of the forum program, plenary sessions were held dedicated to strategic partnership, panel sessions on hydrology, ecology, biomedicine, pharmacology, discussion of socio-humanitarian cooperation, best practices of inter-university interaction and cultural dialogue.
