On 20 September, the Baltic Run took place in Kaliningrad, bringing together students and lecturers from Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University. The sporting event formed part of Student Sports Week, organised by the Burevestnik Student Sports Society and timed to coincide with International Student Sports Day, as well as the opening of the 2026–2027 season of the UNIVERLEAGUE project.
Participants covered a distance of 5.75 km. The route ran from the IKBFU administration building at 14 Alexander Nevsky Street, across Kant Island, along the flyover, and past the picturesque embankment of Lower Pond.
Despite the rainy weather, the athletes took to the starting line — proving that team spirit and determination are stronger than the vagaries of the weather. Participants were divided into three groups according to pace, but they all crossed the finish line together — every group successfully completed the course.
A commemorative medal awaited everyone who finished the race.
The organisers would like to thank everyone who took part in the run and congratulate the participants on the successful conclusion of this sporting event.
