The Readiness of the “Biomed” Building at the “Kantiana” Campus is 70%

The construction readiness of the “Biomed” building, which is being constructed as part of the “Intellectual Space of the Future “Campus Kantiana” at the IKBFU in Kaliningrad, is already 70%. This was reported by the press service of the “Unified Customer in the Field of Construction”.

In the new modern building, specialists will create classrooms for theoretical and practical work with students, laboratories, computer classes, and stream audiences. Multifunctional open-type co-working spaces are planned as classrooms for course and diploma work, scientific design. The simulation center, occupying an entire floor of more than 900 square meters, will be the pride of the “Biomedical” campus building. In total, the “Biomedical” campus will accommodate more than 1,500 students.

Additionally, the remaining three buildings of the campus, including the Institute of High Technologies, the Higher School of Philosophy, and the Conference Complex, are expected to be completed by the end of 2026. Currently, the overall completion rate of the “Kantiana” campus, which covers an area of over 109,000 square meters, is over 80%.

On January 23, 2026, a grand opening ceremony was held for two university dormitories, with Russian President Vladimir Putin participating via video link. In total, the two buildings will accommodate nearly 2,500 students. They will have access to comfortable apartment-style living spaces, project work and recreation areas, recreational zones, dining and sports facilities, as well as various administrative and service areas.

The construction of the Kaliningrad campus is carried out within the framework of the federal project "Creation of a network of modern campuses" and the national project "Youth and Children" on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Government of the Russian Federation.
