Medical Simulation Centre

The latest developments in simulation training have revolutionised the way medical personnel are educated, allowing them to develop their clinical and practical skills to a high standard. This ultimately leads to a higher standard of care within the regional medical facilities

  • Simulation training is a key element of medical professional training, which allows helps students to gain valuable up-to-date experience
  • The goal of the simulation-based training is to provide students with skills needed to conduct real-life medical procedures. The trainees gain clinical experience in a safe and controlled environment

Equipment and teaching methods
  • Remote-controlled manikin-based patient simulators: neonates, children and adults (including a birthing simulator). Implemented artificial intelligence and feedback systems allow for the modelling of various complex procedures in both an inpatient and an outpatient setting
  • Task trainers designed to help learners practise a specific skill, such as patient care or CPR
  • Virtual simulation training, including laparoscopic simulation
  • Independent task execution by students (with remote assistance)
  • Training in the working environment
  • Audio and video recordings of the educational process used for independent evaluation
  • Live broadcasting of the educational process for observation, critique, and debriefing
