IKBFU Rector Alexander Fyodorov reported that the overall completion of the large-scale Neocampus construction project has now reached 17%, which meets the planned schedule.
The construction of the two buildings on the side of Alexander Nevsky St. designed to “showcase” the University is progressing at an especially fast pace. One of them will house the “IKBFU Expo” space, designed for open lectures, presentations, and meetings. The Rector emphasised that these facilities will be fully completed in 2024.
Our goal is to create a powerful world-class innovation hub. A new library with a powerful digital infrastructure and unique design will be the highlight of the project. |

Simultaneously, efforts are underway to outfit the new buildings with state-of-the-art equipment. Procurement of necessary machinery, tools, and furniture commenced in early 2024 to ensure that the classrooms, labs, and public areas will be fully equipped upon opening.
Progress is also evident in the development of other essential campus facilities, including dormitories, educational buildings for various Institutes, and the Conference Complex. The Neocampus initiative encompasses the construction of an expansive university campus spanning 12 locations across 28 hectares.
The objective to create at least 25 world-class campuses by 2030 was set by the Russian President Vladimir Putin.
