The IKBFU delegation headed by Rector Alexander Fedorov arrived in China on June 2nd. The delegation plans to visit several scientific, educational, and cultural centres with the aim of expanding international partnerships.
On June 3rd, the Kaliningrad delegation visited Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU), a leading university directly supervised by China's Ministry of Education. BFSU offers courses in 101 foreign languages and is a leader in Chinese educational institutions for the study and teaching of Russian.
IKBFU Rector Alexander Fedorov, Vice-rector for International Education and Youth Policy Olga Kim, Director of the International Office Daria Gerber, Director of the Centre for Cross-cultural Communication with the Asia-Pacific Countries Maria Litvinyuk took part in the meeting with the leadership of the BFSU.
Representatives from both universities gave presentations on the potential of their institutions, covering scientific and educational areas and priority development tracks.

We have existing mobility programs with academic partners in the People's Republic of China. Currently, the Chinese student diaspora is the third-largest at our university. We are excited about the prospect of acquiring a new valuable partner in Beijing Foreign Studies University. We plan to develop scientific and educational cooperation, as well as active academic exchange programmes for students and faculty. |
The IKBFU delegation will remain in China until June 7th. Their schedule includes a meeting with the leadership of Ocean University of China in Qingdao and a lecture by Rector Alexander Fedorov titled «Immanuel Kant's Critique of Pure Reason and the Philosophy of the Future» at the Russian Cultural Center in Beijing.
