International Students Celebrate the Lunar New Year
On February 10, on the first day of the Lunar New Year, international students of IKBFU performed on the stage of the Marine Exhibition Center of the Museum of the World Ocean in Svetlogorsk
The students presented a variety of performances to the guests: with the help of the ancient Chinese musical instrument Erhu a composition imitating the race of 10 thousand horses was performed; also the guests could get acquainted with modern Chinese choreography, drawing attention to the importance of protecting valuable animal species; an excerpt from Chinese opera accompanied by a grand piano, Chinese Misty poetry and modern Chinese songs.
In addition to the performances, students held master classes in calligraphy and paper-cutting, wrote names and wishes in Chinese and held a fascinating quiz for the guests on the history and traditions of the Celestial Empire.
